Excerpt from DOE's Energy Kid's Page "Hydrogen is the simplest element known to man. Each atom of hydrogen has only one proton. It is also the most plentiful gas in the universe." In the sun's core , hydrogen atoms combine and create radiant energy. This energy gives us light and makes the plants grow. This energy makes the wind blow and the rain fall. 99% of all energy on earth comes from this process. Nartural Hydrogen Regeneration once again liberates the hydrogen raw material of the sun. To do this requires enormous electrical power. Hydro , solar , and coal plants can generate some of this power. Even now the United States has more nuclear powered electric plants then any nation on earth (not France). 40 years ago Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania experienced a nuclear incident. Since then no new nuclear electric plants have been built. This year 3 new plants have been authorized. We will need specialists in nuclear power to create the electricity we will need to produce a volume of hydrogen sufficient to replace crude oil.
