The best way , the N1R way , is to use electrolysis to free hydrogen from the water molecule. Raw materials are water and electricity. Manufacture is the process of passing direct electric current through water and collecting the hydrogen gas that bubbles up from the negative poll. It sounds simple and it is. But it will require massive amounts of electrical power : solar , wind , hydro , thermal , coal , nuclear , and other. Hydrogen is already being manufactured , compressed , and stored now. Most of those processes use some form of carbon to liberate the hydrogen. N1R will use water and electric power. N1R needs engineers to streamline this process.
