When the company was just beginning , American Hardware Supply went to Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh for start up capital. Mellon Bank turned them down , but Pittsburgh National Bank had the vision to see the power of what would happen in the future. When I left Servistar/True Value (formerly American Hardware Supply) , they had been doing business with PNC for forty years refusing all attempts by Mellon Bank to become their bank. Right now N1R needs a bank to deposit the millions of dollars in credit card donations that are flowing through the internet. We need a bank with knowledgable Information Systems people to handle the daily transactions securely and automatically. We want an American bank. Somebody who will lock arms with us to get this job done right. Somebody who will be our prime banker for years to come.
